What is the Limoges Citizens Committee?

The Limoges Citizens Committee is a public committee which was re-instated in November 1999 in order to promote improvements for the town of Limoges. Additional information about the committee is provided in the information buletin.

Who can join?

The committee is open to all citizens who have an interest in the community. There are currently close to 300 members.

When are the meetings and who can attend ?

The meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the new building located in the Rodolphe Latreille park. Any concerned citizen of Limoges or committee member can attend - all are welcomed.

What are the topics of discussion ?

This will vary with each meeting however, the long term projects such as the water and sewer are discussed each meeting. If someone has a particular concern, it can be added to the agenda when requested at the meeting.

What has been achieved by the committee ?

  • organization of public information sessions with the Nation municipality for the water and sewage projects;
  • Bourdeau drain project;
  • filling roadside ditches;
  • the procurement of a charter for the Committee;
  • operational funds obtained from the municipality;
  • preparation of information bulletins;
  • involvement in St.-Jean Baptiste parade and centennial celebrations;
  • good working relationship with the municipality.
